This Is Not a Court or Government Office. Madison County Court Docket is a private reference resource. It cannot retrieve official files, alter a court setting, remove or seal a case, issue certified copies, or provide legal advice. Those requests must go to the court or clerk with custody of the record.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
Use the office that holds the specific court record. A case number, party name, document requested, date range, and requested copy type will help a clerk route a question without assuming that a file is public or available remotely.
- Circuit, County, and Youth Court: Madison County Circuit Clerk Anita E. Wray keeps those filings and dockets. Circuit Clerk and Circuit Court contact: 128 West North Street, Canton, MS 39046, 601-859-4365, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Chancery and land records: Madison County Chancery Clerk Ronny Lott holds Chancery Court and land-record materials. Contact: 146 West Center Street, Canton, MS 39046, 601-859-1177.
- Justice Court: the Justice Court Clerk maintains its own lower-court records at 2961 South Liberty Street, Canton, MS 39046, 601-859-6337. County traffic citations, Justice Court misdemeanors, preliminary felony proceedings, civil cases within Justice Court jurisdiction, and evictions should start there.
- Municipal cases: city traffic, ordinance, and municipal misdemeanor matters are maintained through the responsible municipal court or court-services office in Madison, Ridgeland, Canton, Gluckstadt, or Flora, not through the Circuit Clerk as a single countywide docket.
- Participating MEC cases: PAMEC is the registered public, read-only access layer for Mississippi Electronic Courts. Electronic court terminals at a clerk's office provide a free viewing channel during regular hours for eligible records.
The Madison County court systems directory helps identify the court before a request is made. No countywide official web form or universal response deadline was located for court-record requests. The Mississippi Public Records Act, Mississippi Code Sections 25-61-1 et seq., does not override sealed, restricted, or Youth Court access rules. Ask the responsible clerk what access category applies and whether a court order or other proof is required.
